Dr. Pedro Areias Grilo is a Consultant Clinical psychologist in Adult Neuropsychology working in the public and private sector. Dr Grilo has worked in community services and both secure and open hospital settings. He currently works in medium secure, locked rehab and intensive care for adults who present with complex mental health difficulties and forensic history. Dr Grilo has special interests in progressive and non-progressive neurological conditions and mental illness. He has published books and papers for international magazines, particularly about Dementia.

He is Honorary Tutor at Birmingham University and Honorary Lecturer at Porto University. He is currently developing research in operant conditioning, learning disabilities and brain injury.
